License

What you may do with Forme UI free components and with the Pro source you install.

Free components#

The Free components are MIT-licensed. Copy them into a commercial or personal project, modify them, ship them, and use them in work you are paid for. No attribution required in your product, though a link back is appreciated.

The MIT license covers the source you installed. It does not cover the Forme name, logo or the appearance of this site: please do not use them in a way that suggests an official relationship.

Forme Pro#

Pro source is licensed to the account that installed it, for use in projects that account is working on. You may modify it, and you may ship it. You may not redistribute the Pro source itself, resell it, or publish it as part of another component library.

Because Pro source lands in your repository as your files, your license to use it travels with the project. That is the practical difference between the two tiers: the free components are free to everyone, and the Pro ones are yours once they are on your disk.

Third-party code#

Forme components use Radix UI primitives, clsx, tailwind-merge and lucide-react, all under permissive open-source licences. Their licences travel with those packages through npm, unaffected by anything here.
